Should you share your launch revenue with your audience? Here's my thoughts
Instagram feeds are full of posts proclaiming successful 6 figure launches. But is this the best way to market to your audience and potential clients? Honestly, if I invested in that course, I would see myself as just a commodity and it would turn me off.
I have an issue with the self-orientated glorification of launch revenue that we see constantly online today. This is not to say that you shouldn’t celebrate your success! Of course you should, but you should celebrate it in a meaningful way.
In this episode, I’m going to look at why it’s problematic to be sharing your launch revenue and what you should focus on instead. One of my core values is people-first, and when you make a launch all about the revenue generated, it focuses only on the sale and not the person behind the sale.
I’ll explore different avenues you can take to market your launch’s success that are client-centred and will resonate with your audience.
I encourage you to question the norms and not just do something because it has always been done that way. Self reflect on your ‘why’ when posting and you’ll find the reason behind it.
Topics We Covered:
[1:44]: We’ve had Covid in our home this week and it’s been a bit challenging.
[2:48]: One of my core values is people-first. Talking about launch turnover does make it about yourself. Behind every sale is a client - a person.
[3:47]: When we promote the revenue from the launches, how does it make the client feel who invested in the program? How would it make a potential client feel? I’ve been turned off from other programs when they promote themselves in this way.
[4:57]: When you discuss revenue only, you’re not giving an accurate representation of your outcomes.
[5:43]: Ask yourself, why do I feel the need to share this? Who benefits from you sharing this?
[6:11]: Instead, lead with the impact your course will create for its participants. Show your audience how you help them and why the program would be such a success for them.
[6:54]: The way you make people feel matters.
[7:02]: Your financial success is important but celebrate it in a meaningful way.
[7:58]: Question the norms. Is this of service to others or is it self serving?
